Navigate the creative process
Understand the predictable stages of creative work and know how to lead through each one.
The missing manual for creative directors
A practical guide to the part of creative direction nobody really trains you for: leading people, shaping ideas, guiding the process, and getting exceptional work across the finish line.
Great designers and writers are often promoted into leadership because they know how to make strong work. Then the job changes. Suddenly they’re responsible for people, briefs, clients, feedback, deadlines, budgets, ideas, and outcomes.
“This book exists to shorten that climb.”
Built from nearly twenty-five years in creative leadership, The Art of Creative Direction turns hard-won experience into practical frameworks you can use with real teams and real deadlines.
